New Breakthrough in Cancer Research - Can Curry Annihilate Cancer Cells?

Are you a big fan of eating curry? Do you love eating curry everyday and wondered if it's actually good for you? If you fan of Indian food that has curry, then there's good news for you. The latest research from the Cork Cancer Research Centre has demonstrated that curry can annihilate gullet cancer cells in their research lab.

The yellow curry spice, turmeric, contains a chemical called curcumin. This chemical has longed been used for traditional treatment of dementia and arthritis. In the research lab, the scientists have noticed that the curcumin chemical began to destroy the cancer cells within twenty four hours. The scientists think that it killed the cancer cells by digesting itself.

Since they were so surprised with this discovery, they think that it could open up more research about curcumin. This could lead to natural treatment of cancer without the adverse side effects that you normally see in medicine today.

This is particularly helpful for people that are suffering from oesophageal cancer. This type of cancer is the sixth most deadly cancer in the United Kingdom today. The cancer rates of this deadly disease has gone up more than half since the 70's. The major contributing factors of this disease are excessive alcohol consumption, reflux disease and obesity.

Eating curry could decrease the risk of you of getting cancer but you also need to exercise regularly and have an overall healthy diet. It is recommended that you should exercise at least 20 minutes every day and drink plenty of water.
